Teach 4 Women: Four courses, taught for women.
Teach 4 Women: Four courses, taught for women.
Teach4Women has been created as a resource for teaching and influencing future generations of women, as well as educating current women.
This website is designed for use in a classroom-like setting. It will direct you on how to teach a class on women's health and rights. Lessons on Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Reproductive Rights, and Participation in Society are all included on four different pages. It is recommended that you teach the lessons in the order listed above, as it allows them to build off of each other and have more of an impact. We hope that you take the information from this page to inform younger (or older!) minds on how to protect themselves as women and live powerful lives.
In this scary political climate, it can be hard to remember that as women, we are worth something and we are our own entities that deserve rights, not privileges. Our bodies are our own, and nobody has the right to take that from us.
Women deserve to feel safe in relationships and not have to worry about violence or abuse. This website will provide information on what domestic abuse is, what different variations of it look like, and how to remove yourself from the situation safely. We will also address the truths of sexual assault and how it can be prevented.
Touching on reproductive rights is also crucial, as these are crucial to female freedom and health, but are often overlooked. Lastly, this website will inform your class on DEI and how to vote so that the lessons taught in this class can be enacted politically.
Women of color, trans-women, queer women, all women. Women of varying religions and ethnicities, of different sexual orientations and disabilities. We are all different, and yet we all have one thing in common: we are women and we are oppressed. Educating the people around us to protect themselves is imperative to our health and safety, so let us support each other!
Here are more websites to further your education and teaching abilities. Many of these websites were used during the process of creating this website and contain excellent information. Please provide these resources to your students so that they can look into them as they please. The majority of them include information on how to protect yourself as a woman in terms of rape and sexual assault, ways for the general public to get involved in helping women, as well as how we can vote to protect the future of women.
